Megabait Live Jig Field Test 2004 W.O.N Saltwater Champions

Last weekend we fished the final event of Western Outdoor News, Saltwater Series in San Diego. Since we were in the points race our goal was to catch a quality fish in all 3 categories: Tuna, Yellowtail & Bass. Our goal was to concentrate on the YT/Calico Bass & to then pick up whatever tuna we could on the way back from San Clemente Island.

The patterned holographic finish that covers the Live Jig as well as the head of the Tuna Candy is about as close to our reflective baitfish as anything I?ve ever fished. The feathers/skirts of the Tuna Candy feel durable with beautiful vivid colors as well as feeling ?heavy duty?. The 3 1/2 oz weight of the Live Jig is perfect for casting long distances but not to heavy to fish in shallow water or on light line when the fish are on the smaller size, such as the current run of Yellowfin Tuna.
